Not Normal

Over the past few months, we have seen unimaginable pain and loss in different parts of the world. It happens so often and at such a level that we can begin to normalize it in our minds as a way of reconcile it in our minds. Join us today as we read two passages of Scripture that remind us that this is not normal, but it is expected.

Pride

C.S. Lewis, in his book Mere Christianity, calls pride the thing “which everyone in the world loathes when they see it in someone else; and which hardly any people ever imagine they are guilty of themselves.” Join us as we examine a little about what the Bible has to say about pride, how to tell if pride is a problem for us, and what do do about pride in our own lives.

Trusting Through Tragedy

Jesus taught, “Your Father in Heaven causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Mat 5:45) Victories and tragedies are a part of every person’s life no matter their belief. How do we deal with tragedy when it comes? Join us as we turn to the book of Job to learn how we can trust God through tragedy.

Press On

Everything we do is a step in our journey, not the destination. Yet many people stop moving forward because they mistake a milestone for the finish line. In this message, we read from Paul’s letter to the Philippians as he teaches how he is able to press on each day.
